Tomas Saráceno – Aria

Florence has decided to celebrate and pay homage to the famous artist Tomas Saráceno with an exhibition. From 22 February to 1 November, Palazzo Strozzi will host some of his installations, the protagonist of which will be the theme of the connection of men with non-human elements. Through his works, in fact, the invitation comes to change his point of view on the reality of things, through the relationship with insects, dust and plants that rise to metaphors of the universe.

Articulated between the courtyard and the Piano Nobile, the exhibition is structured as a guided tour between immersive works and participatory experiences. The organization of the exhibition allows the full exaltation of the historical and symbolic context of Florence through an intense and innovative dialogue between Renaissance and modernity: from man to the center of the world, to man as part of a universe in which to seek a new and harmonious.

“Ecosystems must be thought of as interaction networks within which every living being evolves together with others. By focusing less on individuality and more on reciprocity, we can go beyond the consideration of the means necessary to control the environment and hypothesize a shared development of our daily lives. Let the spider web guide us.” (Tomas Saráceno)
