Banksy. This is not a photo opportunity

Events in Florence: from October 19, 2018 to February 24, 2019

The most cryptic and appreciated artist of the 21st century, Bansky lightens the traditional spaces of Palazzo Medici Riccardi with his controversial works. The exhibition Bansky. This is not a photo opportunity, scheduled in Florence from October 19, 2018 to February 24, 2019 seems to be unmissable for contemporary art fans.

The faceless writer, the artist without identity and without surname, lands in Florence. In fact, Bansky is the protagonist of Bansky. This is not a photo opportunity hosted at Palazzo Medici Riccardi until February 24th. Twenty of his most famous works will be open to public, who will easily recognize the icons that made him the only living artist of our century to be such popular. Born in Bristol and productive since the early nineties, Bansky has distinguished himself for a provocative and irreverent street art, dealing with the main themes of social confrontation (war, pollution, homologation, inequality, cultural domination). Unpredictability is perhaps the term that best characterizes the English artist, who recently distinguished himself for an extreme performance: one of his works, just sold at auction, self-destructed. Interesting, do not you think?
